Timberlake cabinetry is a division of American Woodmark Cabinetry geared towards contractors and builders. This line is great for the "budget conscious" buyer. There are a limited number of stains and door styles to choose from, which can make the decision-making process easier. Timberlake offers a nice selection of oak, maple, hickory, and cherry door styles and stains. Your highest upgrade in this line would be plywood veneer ends and dovetail wood, full access drawers with cushion close option.
Kraftmaid Traditional cabinetry is an excellent line for the most up-to-date looks, styles, and stains. Kraftmaid offers a wide variety of semi-custom cabinetry and stains. Their entry level cabinet consists of a plywood dovetail drawer box, which most consumers find appealing. With over 65 door styles and stain combinations, along with standard construction options to all-furniture plywood construction, this line offers a true "good-better-best" range of choices.
Venicia by Kraftmaid is a very modern, European looking, frarneless cabinet line with very modem door styles from hi-gloss to laminate looking door styles and stains. Most incorporate the aluminum or stainless steel look for any room in the house. This line offers the same construction options, upgrades, and standard lead times as the Kraftmaid Traditional line.
Prestige cabinetry is an all-wood cabinet line offering rustic and clear wood door styles. This semi-custom line offers standard stains with glazes and painted woods. This line is solid plywood construction. Your only upgrades would be dovetail cushion close full extension drawers.
Strasser Woodenworks offers an exclusive line of vanity cabinetry. This unique line offers furniture style bases from traditional to modern. They offer woods such as oak, maple, cherry, and thermofoil doors. This is an all-American line coming out of Washington with a 7-14 day lead time.
Please note: most semi-custom cabinet lines are built-to-order. Therefore, there are not a lot of customization options offered. An exception would be custom furniture appliance panels and such. These usually are ordered separate from semi-custom orders, and some could take up to an additional 4-6 weeks for processing. None of the above-mentioned cabinet lines accept returns or offer a restocking program. Lead times can vary, but a general rule of thumb is 3-7 weeks.
Most manufacturer warranties are "limited lifetime" and usually lifetime for hinges or cabinet hardware. Please be advised that the manufacturer will not cover incidental or consequential damages such as labor expenses whether arising out of breach of warranty, breach of contract, tort, or otherwise. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Refer to manufactures individual warranty for additional information.
Merit will order warranty/replacement parts for homeowners, should the situation arise. This alleviates homeowners from having to look for additional information that the vendor may require for replacement part(s).
